Wow, what a crazy two weeks!
I have been off travelling from one end of the country to the other touring around and visiting hackerspaces in Vancouver, MIT and Toronto and met some incredible people during my visit to these spaces.

While in Boston, I had to opportunity to attend the Design East Conference and take part in a bunch of free classes offered by a whole bunch of different companies like Microchip, NXP, ST and a lot more! Oh, and I got some ARM based development boards from ST and NXP! I guess I’ll be busy tinkering around with those for a while.

aaaaawwwwwwww yeah!

For those who are not familiar with these boards, on the left is the STMicroelectronics F3 Discovery board and on the right is the NXP LPCXpresso board. Both are ARM based boards, the F3 containing a Cortex M4 and the LPC containing a Cortex M3. The F3 Discovery board is particularly nice in the fact that it also comes with a magnetometer and accelerometer.

Enough about my trip, what’s on the books for meoWS?
I plan to write some tutorials on microcontrollers (namely, Microchip PICs). They should be coming up in the next month or so. I am also building a MIDI Library for PICs which should be released late this week. As well, a new major project is in the works right now and I hope to have that complete by the end of the month.

Lots of things are happening. Stay tuned!

P.S. Looking for some good music? Try Jenn Grant. Her new album “The Beautiful Wild” was just released last week and I can’t stop listening to it!
